I received the Holy Ghost July 12, 2014. In the fall of 2016 I was blessed with the opportunity to teach our 12-14 year old Sunday School class. Indeed I have been blessed as I am learning so much right along with them. I hope to impress upon these youthful minds the love of Jesus and his plan of salvation, and for it to be something they carry with them into their futures.

My mission as a Sunday School teacher is to raise up an army of soldiers for the Lord. There are many things that we can give ourselves to, but nothing is greater than He is. To be trusted by God so that He can use us is one of the greatest gifts. If I can just see one young person dedicate their life and give their all to Him holding back nothing and allow Him to direct their steps, it would be worth all the ups and downs and sometimes stuggles and trials.

Bro. Scott Ivey serves as the Adult Sunday School Teacher here at Faith Tabernacle Church, where he is passionate about helping people grow in their understanding of the Bible and in their personal walk with Christ. He faithfully taught for many years prior to his arrival here at Faith Tabernacle in early April of 2025. He loves making Scripture come alive in a way that is engaging and meaningful. He has a knack for taking the complexities of the Bible and making them understandable and keeping you captivated at the same time. When he is not studying, he enjoys fishing, spending time with his wife Lauryn, and caring for his two dogs. But his greatest joy is seeing people’s hearts discover God’s love.
